Tightly Woven Flame Retardant 9 mil Braided Sleeving
Flame Retardant Flexo® Tight Weave sleeving was developed in collaboration with aircraft manufacturers as a high-performance replacement for the Standard Grade FR. Constructed from tightly braided 9 mil flame-retardant monofilament, this design provides denser coverage over wire harnesses, significantly enhancing abrasion resistance—a crucial requirement in aerospace applications.
The use of 9 mil monofilament (instead of 10 mil) reduces overall weight while maintaining the superior protection achieved by the tight braid pattern. Flexo® Tight Weave sleeving is available in a range of sizes to fit wire harnesses up to 3 inches in diameter, meeting the industry’s rigorous performance and weight standards.
